Job profile

Would you like to support the Federal Police's ICT service provider? With your expertise, you can help to optimize the IT of the Federal Police and thus ensure the work of our 54,000 colleagues.

Your job profile includes the design of systematized, economical and sustainable IT structures for data centers. This includes advising our sales managers and customers in the concept and design phase, preparing presentation documents, participating in client meetings and presenting projects. Your tasks will also include the conception, calculation, calculation and design of IT structures as well as the monitoring of design and implementation plans. You will also support training and development planning, contribute to architectural decisions and shape their implementation. You will also be involved in designing the ITIL processes of change management, incident management and problem management. You will also advise on current technology trends.

Recruitment is generally intended as a tariff employee. Classification is in accordance with the collective agreement provisions of the TV EntgO Bund and the existing personal requirements in pay group 13.

If the requirements (completed IT degree and / or relevant professional experience) are not met, the employee will be placed in a lower pay group.

Security is our greatest asset! As you will be performing responsible tasks within the Federal Police, it is necessary to complete a security check.

Once the security check has been completed, if you have one of the above-mentioned degrees, you can be appointed as a civil servant at grade A 13 h or above. German or EU / EEA citizenship is required for appointment as a civil servant.

Already a civil servant? You must not have reached the age of 50 to apply for a transfer to the federal civil service. For applicants in the higher administrative service, a position with the grade A 14 BBesO is available for the advertised post. Applicants from external authorities can therefore be considered up to grade A 14 BBesO.

All civil servants who have completed a degree (university diploma / master's degree) in the above-mentioned disciplines are also eligible to apply (§ 24 BLV).
