Our team develops innovative solutions for the digital transformation of cities and municipalities, in particular through geographic information systems (GIS). Become part of our team in one of our branches in Augsburg, Memmingen or Kempten im Allgäu. After training, you can also work from home.

These are your tasks

Integration and extension of the OpenLayers rendering engine in existing and new applications
Implementation of interfaces between OpenLayers and external native application layers, e.g. in the mobile environment
Extension of the OpenLayers rendering engine to support RIWA-internal display formats
Integration of suitable automated tests
Creation of reusable libraries for other applications
Working closely with other developers and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration

You know your way around this

Completed studies or training as a computer scientist

Excellent knowledge of JavaScript and preferably also TypeScript

Experience with OpenLayers or similar web map solutions

Knowledge of handling geodata and the associated possible map representations

Routine with common web map formats and interfaces

Points of contact with build environments and tools in the JavaScript environment (e.g. Node.js, Vite)

Familiar with JavaScript test frameworks such as Jest or Vitest

Experience with the VueJS framework an advantage

Structured and independent way of working and strong problem-solving skills

Team spirit and strong communication skills
