Job Description

Who we are

We are seeking a skilled Azure DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the implementation of CI / CD pipelines using Terraform and provisioning infrastructure. This role involves Azure networking-related tasks, including integration with other components, such as virtual networks, resource groups, other resources and systems, feeders, and regulatory systems. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for provisioning and maintaining Azure infrastructure.

What you'll be doing

Implement CI / CD pipelines using Terraform
Provision and maintain Azure infrastructure
Perform Azure networking tasks, including integration with other components
Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and alerting
Design and implement access permissions, user management, resource management, load balancing, and firewalls on Azure
Troubleshoot and optimize infrastructure issues
Work independently and in teams to achieve project goals

What you'll bring along

Bachelor’s degree in Informatics / or similar field of study / or equivalent working experience is required

A min 3-5 years demonstrable experience in a DevOps Engineer role

Comprehensive understanding of Azure infrastructure, including storage accounts, virtual networks, security groups, and security configurations

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform

Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on identifying and resolving issues

Knowledge of RBAC models on Azure and Azure concepts like Subscriptions, Resource Groups, RBAC, Processing, and storage resources

Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, SQL etc

Familiarity with GitHub for version controlling

Ability to work in an agile team setup

Nice to have :

Experience using Azure Synapse Analytics for big data analytics, data warehousing, and data integration

Proficiency in performance tuning, error handling, and ensuring high availability and reliability of Synapse-based solutions

Allianz internal know-how (GISF, SPM, ARA, dedicated compliance requirements)

In-depth knowledge of Azure Event Hubs for real-time data ingestion and stream processing

Experience with cost estimation and cost optimization of Azure cloud resources on a continuous basis

Ability to configure Synapse workspaces, manage data pipelines, and optimize query performance
