Responsibilities
- Technically minded with a good ability to understand functional requirements – Having a conceptual understanding of customers' expectations and proposing technical implementation to respond to these exceptions is important.
- Translates product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
- Experienced in Agile – In Axway we develop using the Scrum methodology delivering new features quickly. Experience in this type of environment would be key.
- A great communicator – POs work with a broad spectrum of stakeholders (R&D Managers, Product Managers, Architects, Development teams, Customer Success teams). They need to be able to tailor the description of problems and their solutions to these different audiences to ensure effective communication.
- A strategic thinker – Axway PO’s prioritize items in the Product Backlog to best achieve deadlines (product features, beta start dates, PoCs), and missions’ goals (on-time, quality release) while optimizing the value of the Dev Team's work.
- A decision maker – PO’s need to recognize when work on features will stop giving a ‘return on investment’, and work with PM to make the decision to move on to another more valuable piece of work.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree or comparable academic training in User-Centered Design, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or closely related discipline.Master of Science or comparable post-graduate academic training, a plus.3+ years of progressive leadership owning product management and / or product marketing with a reputation of delighting customers, meeting tight deadlines, and fostering collaborative working relationships with engineering.Experience in the creation of more than one product from inception to release with meaningful results measured in terms of customers, revenue and / or market share.Experience or good understanding of an Accounting related Software, or Flow Transformation tool (EAI, ETL, mapping) and / or Financial ERP landscape.Specific knowledge on Accounting is nice to have but not mandatory.Experience in Coding (java, html5), API Json / Rest, Message broker or Kafka technologies, Database, Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) technology is a plusGood knowledge of the architectural principles of cloud-based platforms including SaaS, PaaS is a plus.Familiar with tools such as Jira or ConfluenceEnglish speaker – the PO must be proficient in English as all exchanges with R&D are done in this language.French knowledge is a plus.Career Development and benefits :
