Egis has been working in Romania for more than 25 years, providing engineering and consultancy services in road and rail transport sectors as well as water and environment, energy and urban development markets.

Our diverse team is working on more than 20 major infrastructure projects today with many more planned or expected. Amongst these are complex projects such as the Railway Feasibility studies for Predeal-Brasov and for Apahida Ilva-Mica. Designing and managing complex rail transportation projects, from high speed to urban mass transit is an increasingly important focus of our mission in Romania, drawing upon the 50+ years of experience that Egis group has in the rail domain.

Job description

Depending on your level of experience, the job of a Rail Technologist will require you to be able to :

Multidisciplinary cross check and connect several domains of design for rail contracts;

Interact with the installation and superstructures designers of the rail team and provide them technical assessments about the compatibility of each domain solution;

Develop method statements and technical requirements documentation for tendering stages and beneficiary support;

Support the member of the team dedicated to the development of price lists and technical costs assessment;

Participating in working groups at national and international level with Egis Group Teams for research and design activities;

Supervision of subcontractors / providers activities, in order to the development of design deliverables

Support the PM and Project Team in the development of design deliverables.

Profile

We recognize that each applicant will bring different experience, but the ideal candidate will have :

At least 5 years of experience working in Romania in the rails design domain;

Excellent computer skills in MS Office, AutoCAD and dedicated design software;

Strong sense of responsibility, high standards of ethical behaviours an ability to work in team collaboration and take decisions;

Confident, clear and polite style of verbal communication one-to-one or in a group, including active listening,

Technical / Engineering degree,

Fluent in Romanian. Good spoken and written English.
