Role Overview :

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Payroll Accountant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Romanian payroll and labor legislation , solid experience in payroll preparation and accounting , and a working background with Oracle ERP systems . This role is key to ensuring payroll accuracy, statutory compliance, and financial integrity across the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare and process monthly payroll, ensuring accurate calculation of salaries, taxes, and social contributions in accordance with Romanian statutory regulations
• Collaborate closely with the HR team to ensure timely and precise input of payroll-related data
• Stay up to date with all changes in payroll and labor legislation; communicate impacts to stakeholders as necessary
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of employee payroll records at all times
• Review and process flexible benefits, supplementary compensation (overtime, shift differentials, bank holidays), and ensure compliance with internal policies
• Prepare and post monthly payroll journals by cost center for statutory and intra-group reporting , including reconciliations and variance analysis
• Utilize Oracle ERP to process payroll transactions and ensure proper integration with financial reporting
• Provide administrative support for the annual bonus, pay review, and flexible benefits programs
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and external audit requirements
• Maintain high standards of data integrity, confidentiality, and consistency across payroll processes
• Support cost optimization initiatives by identifying payroll-related efficiency improvements
• Approve benefit payments in accordance with company policy and ensure proper documentation
• Foster collaborative relationships across departments, ensuring clear and professional communication
