Job Description

  • Hybrid, with 1-2 days of remote work / week
  • Office location : Sector 1 - Business office
  • Operations in 8 countries, listed on 3 stock exchanges, with public financial disclosures – this is a strategic IFRS reporting role with broad business visibility
  • Tax structuring in 10 jurisdictions – opportunity to expand responsibilities beyond Romania into the wider CEE region
  • Direct exposure to senior leadership and regular interaction with the CFO (as a second layer)
  • Experience working in a listed company with complex reporting and stock exchange compliance requirements

Young and dynamic Finance & Accounting organization :

  • Over 100 people in the F&A department
  • 20 professionals in the Financial Reporting team, including 7 in Romania (ages 30–43)
  • Reporting and controlling teams located in CEE
  • 700 employees in total, with a large accounting department (including property and shared service teams)
  • The finance team has strong professional background, majority of their seniors started years ago in Big 4 companies or similar.
  • There is huge flexibility on the role structure in the sense of coverage / complexity, since its beginning and along the way, with great possibilities to learn and to grow
  • will be Finance Controller who is eager to grow preofessioinaly this new hire asap.

    Profile, Responsibilities, and Key Criteria

  • Expertise in Financial Reporting and IFRS
  • 4–7 years of experience in financial reporting
  • Strong expertise in preparing financial statements under IFRS
  • Previous experience in audit company and / or financial reporting dynamic companies; a group reporting experience is nice to have, not mandatory
  • Knowledge of reporting requirements for the listed companies could also be a plus
  • Essential aptitudes : proactive, prompt, accurate, eager to learn and to develop
  • Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Preparation and submission of IFRS financial statements for Romanian operations
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports (in line with agreed reporting timelines)
  • Ensuring consistency in IFRS application across multiple entities
  • Supporting the reporting processes related to listings on three stock exchanges
  • Conducting variance analysis and explaining deviations from budgets and forecasts
  • Annual review of statutory financial statements
  • Providing support during internal and external audits
  • Close collaboration with finance teams in the CEE region and Germany
  • Delivering ad-hoc financial reports and analysis for senior leadership
  • Geographic Scope

  • Initially focused on Romanian reporting, with gradual expansion to other CEE countries
  • Prior experience in a multinational reporting environment, working with regional finance teams
  • Ability to coordinate financial data across multiple entities, understanding the differences between statutory accounting and IFRS requirements
  • Technology and Systems

  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics (preferred) or other similar ERP systems
  • Advanced skills in Excel and BI tools
  • Process optimization mindset and a focus on reporting efficiency
  • Communication skills and Coordination of multiple tasks
  • Direct interaction with Operations Controllers, the Reporting team in Bucharest, as well as teams in Poland and the Netherlands
  • Ability to clearly and effectively present financial data to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Salary Approximately 12,000 RON net / month (can be adjusted according to candidate seniority)
