Secondary Substation Engineer Electrical Manager

Job Description

Here is what you will do :

1. Design, Development, and Implementation :

• Lead the design of secondary circuits and protection & control systems for HV substations (69kV to 500kV+).
• Coordinate and develop schematics, wiring diagrams, logic diagrams, cable schedules, and panel layouts.
• Design and configure protective relays (SEL, GE, Siemens, ABB), automation controllers (PLCs / RTUs), and protocol gateways.
• Ensure robust integration of SCADA, IEC 61850, DNP3, and Modbus protocols within T&D automation systems.
• Collaborate with primary system engineers to align interface requirements and ensure electrical coordination.
• Oversee hardware and I / O design for control panels and interface systems.

Qualifications

Mandatory Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

Experience : Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in substation secondary engineering, with at least 1 year in a technical leadership or supervisory capacity.
