What's this role about?

Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS with a focus on cost efficiency and security using Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform).
Create and optimize Kubernetes clusters, ensuring production-ready setups, efficient workload deployments, and cost optimization strategies.
Implement and maintain configuration management using tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef to ensure consistent environments and infrastructure as code practices.
Develop and maintain CI / CD pipelines for various application stacks including Java, .NET, JavaScript (React, Angular), and Python, emphasizing semantic versioning and proficiency with multiple branching strategies.
Utilize GitOps principles and preferably Argocd for managing deployments and configurations.
Manage database systems and message brokers, ensuring their stability, performance, and scalability.
Implement observability practices using appropriate tools for logging, metrics, and alerting to ensure system reliability and performance.
Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate with client stakeholders to understand requirements and provide updates on project progress.

What skills and experience do you need?

Proficiency in cloud infrastructure management with AWS and experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).

Strong expertise in Kubernetes, including cluster creation, optimization, workload deployment, and troubleshooting.

Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

Solid understanding and experience in building CI / CD pipelines for various application stacks.

Experience with GitOps principles, Argocd is a plus.

Knowledge of database systems and message brokers.

Experience implementing observability practices using logging, metrics, and alerting tools.

Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Bash, Python, Go.

Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and client stakeholders.
