Role Summary :

As part of an ongoing global IT transformation program, Eurofins is currently looking for enhancements to provide hands-on IT support at in-scope locations covering IT infrastructure services such as : Azure Cloud solutions, containers, networks, automation, DevOps. The applicant will be responsible for  designing, building, maintaining, optimizing, and supporting the implementation of Cloud Native standards and DevOps heuristics.  The team supports and coaches regional and local IT teams to create a resilient, repeatable, and sustainable IT landscape that is tailored to business requirements.

Objectives :

As a team member you will act as the  liaison between cloud architects and regional and local IT teams as well as local business stakeholders . Based on the knowledge, the team will help application teams modernize their applications to suit cloud-based deployment and modern authentication.

The main objectives are :

  • Design and implement cloud-based solutions  on Azure.
  • Manage and optimize multiple  Kubernetes clusters (AKS, EKS, Rancher)
  • Implement and maintain the Terraform-  based release solution.
  • Rollout and upgrade existing Azure tenants.
  • Collaborate, consult, train and support different IT teams to implement the new standards.
  • Help various IT teams cover major incidents.

Examples of tasks :

  • Contact regional IT team, collect requirements, and implement standard operating procedures.
  • Deploy an application landing zone in your  Azure environment using the Terraform framework.
  • ITIL and DevOps approach  to solving technical problems. Troubleshoot problems that arise.
  • Deploy Application Landing Zone using in-house Terraform-based solution.
  • Work with application teams to accommodate cloud requirements.
  • Serving as an escalation point for all IT teams to do support and troubleshooting,
  • Provide quality documentation, enabling smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Collaborate closely with the rest of the IT infrastructure and operations, architecture, application, and security teams.
  • Identify opportunities to innovate, automate, and simplify delivery by contributing Terraform code.

    • Qualifications

    Qualifications and experience :

  • At least  3 years of proven hands-on experience  in complex IT environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of IT Services and their relationships in complex environments
  • Ability to learn and think out-of-the-box.
  • Capable of code analysis and reverse engineering.
  • Positive attitude in the face of challenges

    • Necessary :

  • Microsoft Azure  (operations and infrastructure)
  • Good Linux / Windows  OS administration and scripting skills (DSC preferred)
  • Deep knowledge and experience with  Kubernetes  and similar products, e.g., AKS, EKS.
  • Monitoring and alerting systems. e.g.,  DataDog, Icinga, Nagios
  • Security and Registration Tools.
  • Identity and access management using Azure AD
  • Automation and implementation of e.g.,  Terraform, DSC, Ansible, Helm, Azure DevOps
  • GitOps  Practitioner
  • Software distribution and software packaging
  • Solid networking knowledge
  • English language at an advanced level
