Java Developer

Position Description :

We are looking for a Java Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework, SQL, and Camunda BPM to join our team. The ideal candidate is fluent in French and has experience working in complex, process-driven environments—ideally within finance or regulated industries.

In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain backend services, build and optimize business process workflows using Camunda, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across French-speaking regions.

Your future duties and responsibilities :

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring (Boot, MVC, Security);
• Design and implement workflow processes in Camunda BPM;
• Write efficient and optimized SQL queries for data access and reporting;
• Collaborate with French-speaking business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions;
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes;
• Ensure solutions follow clean code practices, scalability, and maintainability;
• Troubleshoot issues and provide timely resolutions in production environments.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role :

4+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend development;

Proficiency in Spring Framework (Spring Boot preferred);

Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.);

Experience with Camunda BPM (designing and deploying workflows);

Fluency in French (spoken and written) – mandatory;

Good understanding of software development best practices and design patterns;

Familiarity with version control (Git), CI / CD pipelines, and RESTful APIs.

Nice to Have :

Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure);

Exposure to BPMN, DMN, and Camunda Optimize;

Knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodologies.
