Our client is seeking a Data Engineer with 1,5 - 3 years of experience, focusing on SQL development for e-commerce data systems. This role involves working on data cleaning, transformation, and quality checks using BigQuery and Dataform, with integration across Shopify, WooCommerce, and other e-commerce platforms. The position operates within the UK time zone.
Our client, a data analytics agency, provides custom data engineering and visualization solutions for e-commerce companies in the US, Canada, and Europe. They work with businesses on data-driven insights and impactful transformations.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and optimize SQL queries in BigQuery to support data analysis and transformation tasks.
Build and maintain assertions in Dataform for data quality assurance.
Ingest data into BigQuery using Airbyte, setting up and managing custom API data connections.
Clean and transform data to enable further visualization and reporting.
Ensure data accuracy and consistency by merging data from multiple sources, including Shopify, Meta, Google Ads, and Klaviyo.
Qualifications :
1,5-3 years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
Proficiency in SQL, with experience writing analytical queries (window functions, CTEs, UDFs).
Experience working with Shopify data schema, BigQuery, and GitHub.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on data quality.
Experience with GA4 raw data schema is a plus.
Familiarity with Dataform and Airbyte is beneficial.
