R&D MANAGER

Client Description :

Adecco Romania is recruiting for its client, Top international producers of construction chemicals and technologies, a Research And Development Manager, for their factory in Industrial Park Ploiesti.

Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scientific research and laboratory management. The R&D Laboratory Manager will be responsible for coordinating research projects, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of research data. Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to develop and implement laboratory policies, manage budgets, and collaborate with other departments and external partners. The role demands excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities :

• Coordinate and prioritize research projects and experiments, support all related R&D activities.
• Improve existing formulations of products that are being produced in Romania by decreasing the cost and, in the same time, enhance the quality of the products.
• Lead and manage the R&D team in the development of new materials and technologies in the fields of cement, concrete, polymers, and resins.
• Develop new products according to market needs.
• Develop and implement laboratory policies and standard operating procedures.
• Manage laboratory budgets and procure necessary supplies and equipment.
• Collaborate with other departments and external partners on research projects.
• Monitor and enforce laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
• Prepare and present reports on laboratory activities and research findings.
• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all laboratory research findings
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to laboratory equipment and experiments.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in laboratory technology and research methodologies.
• Provide technical support and guidance to laboratory staff and researchers.
• Coordinate the disposal of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with regulations.
• Participate in grant writing and funding applications for research projects.
• Represent the laboratory at conferences, meetings, and other professional events.
