Travel Coordinator | Europe Central Area (Remote) | Temporary, 12 Months (Full-Time, 40 Hours)

This position helps make gospel teachings, resources, or services accessible to all in a simple and

affordable way, supporting the mission of the nate travel arrangements for Church

employees, missionaries, General Authorities and other Church representatives. Secure travel

reservations via air, rail, rental car and hotel throughout the world. Coordinate visa acquisition as

needed. Resolve a wide variety of complex travel and / or documentation problems in a responsive and

professional manner. Ensure a smooth travel experience for customers.

• Obtain Visas for missionaries and other Church travelers in the most efficient manner. This includes the development of instruction documents, preparation of forms, reviewing all information to ensure that all documentation is complete and correct before sending to consul for visa issuance.
• Consult with missionaries, General Authorities and other Church travelers to provide specific, individual help as needed to overcome difficult situations unique to the traveler(s) or their destination. Cross train and respond to questions and situations concerning countries other than one's own specific assignment.
• Handle emergencies and / or high profile situations as needed. Perform special projects as needed.
• Plan travel itineraries, utilizing the most cost efficient means of travel, advising of options available as well as associated costs. Prepare itineraries, with appropriate detail (restrictions, and other helpful information for traveler usage.
• Follow appropriate accounting guidelines in the invoicing, payment, and billing of all transactions.
• Support mission offices with travel related tasks.
• Two years of college or two years of travel industry experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven ability to resolve issues independently and organize workload efficiently.
• Demonstrate the ability to establish and preserve effective working relationships with individuals of varying cultures and personalities.
• Ability to quickly develop an understanding of varying visa application procedures for multiple countries.
• Advanced English level is required (C1). Other European languages, especially Italian , can be an advantage.
• Ocassional travel might be required.
