Join our Component Manufacturing Engineering team as a Manufacturing
Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the manufacture of
Siemens Energy’s aero-derivative gas turbines (AGT). You will collaborate with
colleagues, partners, and suppliers to provide essential technical support and
engineering advice, ensuring a reliable supply of parts for our AGT fleet. Your
contributions will be vital in maintaining safety-critical components and
supporting strategic supply chain activities.

How You’ll
Make an Impact
Work closely
with colleagues, partners, and suppliers to support the production of AGT
components.
Support design for manufacture activities on both new
and legacy components.
Assess and select appropriate manufacturing methods
and specifications for gas turbine components.
Support suppliers in meeting technical and quality
requirements for safety-critical components.
Drive the development and adoption of new
manufacturing techniques to enhance cost, efficiency, and manufacturability.
Provide guidance on special processes and
inspection techniques.
Assist in process validation through methods like
PPQ and Method Verification Approval.
Conduct root cause investigations for new component
manufacturing issues.
Provide technical support to the procurement team,
enabling informed sourcing decisions.
Promoting a culture of safety and compliance
within the supplier network.
What you bring
At least 5 years of experience as a manufacturing
engineer in high-integrity component manufacturing.
Experience in manufacturing validation and
inspection techniques, including NDT methods.
May also have experience with gas turbine materials
and component design, as well as familiarity with aerospace and industrial gas
turbine specifications
Familiarity with recognised suppliers to
OEM gas turbine manufacturers, such as forging facilities, casting facilities,
machine shops, coating and material processing vendors
Experience in supporting and validating
new manufacturing techniques
Experience in machining
techniques
Experience in cost value
engineering
Experience in producing
technical documentation
Travel
might be required for this role, so flexibility is essential .

Our Gas Services division offers
Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low
emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines
and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization,
and digitalization of the fleet.
