System engineer / DevOps | Air Traffic Management [MosaiX]

Job Introduction The Frequentis Group is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. These ‘Control Centre Solutions’ are developed and distributed by Frequentis in the business segments Air Traffic Management (civil and military air traffic control, aeronautical information management, air defence) and Public Safety & Transport (police, fire and rescue services, emergency medical services, vessel traffic and railways). With headquarters in Vienna, the company employs more than 2300 people worldwide, with subsidiaries, regional offices and representatives in over 50 countries. In Cluj we started in 2009 and our local team currently has 170+ colleagues and is growing.As part of our team, you will actively develop products in an international environment, where experienced people will help you further develop your skills and advance in your career.You will work on a microservices based framework used across the company to run and integrate multiple Frequentis products. You will develop reusable services, software packages and libraries to be used by other teams in the company. The product runs on RedHat 7 / 8, handles the deployment and configuration of the OS and supports the configuration and orchestration of services packaged as Docker images.You will contribute to the transition of our platform towards cloud-ready technologies. We are developing for a safety-critical environment, following industry standards, where high availability and redundancy are basic requirements. Key Tasks

• Develop / provide the recipes / instructions to automate the set-up and test of the cloud-native MosaiX© infrastructure and auxiliary layers, incl. orchestration, logging, monitoring, etc.
• Maintain and actively develop Puppe / Ansible scripts used to configure the operating system and its services as well as the deployment agent and the add-on SW packages like e.g. Docker, Redhat Identity Management, Cassandra, Zabbix, Postgres, Etcd, RabbitMQ, etc.
• As a power user, you are the champion for the used 3rd party and open-source components
• Provide consulting in Linux and deployment-related topics for products building on the MosaiX platform, support development teams migrating to MosaiX and participate in solution reviews, thereby ensuring alignment with the intended design and principles of the platform
