Senior Quantity Surveyor – Road and Bridge Construction

Conțești, Dâmbovița (Târgoviște), Romania

Our client is a well-established infrastructure and civil works company with over 25 years of experience delivering major projects such as highways, bridges, dams, irrigation systems, tunnels, and social infrastructure. Following the award of a new contract for the modernization and extension of DN71 Bâldana – Târgoviște – Sinaia , we are looking to hire an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the site-based team in Romania.

Key Responsibilities :

Cost Estimation & Budget Management

Prepare accurate cost estimates and monitor project budgets.

Track expenses and flag potential cost overruns in a timely manner.

Measurement & Valuation

Measure and assess on-site work quantities.

Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and interim valuations for progress claims.

Contract Administration & Procurement

Manage contracts in line with project requirements.

Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors; review and approve invoices.

Risk & Quality Oversight

Identify and mitigate cost and contractual risks.

Ensure quality standards are met through regular site inspections.

Reporting & Documentation

Prepare and submit detailed financial and progress reports.

Maintain clear, up-to-date records of project activities and variations.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

Work closely with engineers and site teams for accurate project delivery.

Communicate proactively with clients and project stakeholders.

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Proven experience (preferably 10+ years) as a Quantity Surveyor in road and bridge construction .

Prior involvement in national infrastructure projects with CNAIR is highly desirable.

Fluency in Romanian  is mandatory. English language

Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and valuation processes.
