Who we are
By joining our project, you will be working on an initiative of the European Commission focused on creating a more efficient, modern and secure customs environment within the European Union. Being part of this initiative set on a 5 years’ timeline, you will have the opportunity to work on topics such as digitalization of customs processes, streamlining customs procedures to facilitate trade and reduce costs, harmonization of customs rules across all EU member states and combating fraud.
This purposeful project will not only give you the opportunity to have an impact on one of the key topics within the European Union, it will also offer you various professional opportunities, let you experience a collaborative environment, using cutting-edge technologies and experiencing diversity in your everyday professional life.
What you’ll be doing
- Designing and Implementing Security Solutions : Developing and implementing comprehensive security architectures that align with business objectives & designing and deploying secure systems, networks, and IT Systems, considering client best practices and industry emerging threats
- Risk Assisting and Management : Conducting risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate security measures & developing and maintaining risk management frameworks to ensure the ongoing security of IT environments
- Security Policy Developing : Creating and enforcing security policies, standards, and procedures across the contracting authority IT & staying abreast of requirements and ensure compliance with relevant security standards
- Doing Incident Response and Forensics : Developing and leading incident response plans to address and mitigate security incidents & conducting forensic analysis to identify the root causes of security breaches and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborating and Communicating with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into all aspects of IT operations & communicating complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Emerging Technologies Evaluating : Evaluating new and emerging security technologies to enhance the contracting authority's security posture & providing guidance on the adoption of innovative solutions that meet business needs while maintaining a strong security foundation
What you'll bring along
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldMinimum 5-7 years of experience in a similar roleCISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) o CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)CompTIA Security+Relevant cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer)In-depth knowledge of security architecture principles, practices, and technologies. o Proficiency in risk assessment and management methodologiesStrong understanding of networking protocols, firewall management, and intrusion detection / prevention systemsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentProven experience in designing and implementing security solutionsPrevious roles in IT security, such as security analyst or engineer, with progressive responsibilitiesFamiliarity with industry frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CISDemonstrated commitment to staying updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies through continuous learning and professional developmentExcellent command of both spoken and written EnglishDocument
