Your new role and environment.

As a Network security engineer within the BeCSE Infrastructure engineering team, you contribute directly by working in close collaboration with the local brand teams from BeCSE to enable business value.  You do so by developing and conveying the network and network security future proof solutions, by defining the backlog and execution on the delivery of IT and Business project, we will have the opportunity to take the lead of one or more network security theologies. Of course, you do not do this alone, but together with your Network product team colleagues in- and outside BeCSE and the business and technology stakeholders

As a Network and Network Security Engineer you will be part of the Infrastructure Network & Network Security Engineering team, that is one of the 3 teams of the Regional IT Infrastructure Center of Excellence (beside the Infrastructure Engineering and the Infrastructure Platforms teams).  The IT Infrastructure CoE provides services to all companies that operate under the banner of Ahold Delhaize in Belgium / Luxembourg and the South-Eastern European region (Serbia, Romania, Greece, Czech Republic).

Key responsibilities of your role.

  • Designs, builds & implements network security, system & data controls, monitoring & configuration management tools
  • Serves as a reference for corporate network and network security and as such guides Enterprise & Solution Architects to incorporating security into local and regional solution architectures & designs.
  • Materially advance Network and Network security automation. Further contribute to the standardization, simplification, and automation to enable self-service and digitization for enterprise users.
  • Partners with Information Security Office (ISO) for aligning network architecture and infrastructure strategy with ISO policies and procedures
  • Perform L3 support : lead troubleshooting efforts in order to analyze and resolve P1 / P2 faults, perform threat analysis and risk management, elevate network and network security related operational processes, Develop and execute test and DR plans to check infrastructure and systems technical performance
  • Remain in a state-of-the-art level of market / technology / methodologies trends
  • Maintain relationships with the supplier and internal / external stakeholders regarding licenses, costs, support model etc.
  • Ensure best practices sharing in the Network Security community at local, regional and / or global level
  • Ensure systems, tools and processes are compliant with the IT policies and baselines and take actions to ensure compliance, to comply with SOX and PCI regulations.

Requirements.

We think you’ll be best geared for success if you can meet the following requirements :

  • Master’s degree in computer sciences, or equivalent through experience
  • Strong knowledge in Network Security Systems
  • With experience in an agile practices, Agile certification or equivalent experience is a big asset
  • Network experience - Cisco routers and switches, SDWAN, Wi-Fi, Ethernet
  • Network security Experience – firewalls, Proxy servers, reverse proxy servers, Intrusion Detection System, and virtual private networks (IPSEC and SSL).
  • Cloud networking and DevOps experience is a plus
  • Basic knowledge and / or experience with Jira / Confluence / GitHub / MS Teams …. is a plus.
  • A team player attitude : you involve others, share knowledge, and seek opportunities for cross functional collaboration.
  • You can take decisions after analyzing and assessing the impact. You are also an out-of-the box thinker and you come up with fresh and creative ideas.
  • Fluency in English both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate clearly (great presentation and communication skills)
