A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Buyer you will efficiently complete operational purchasing processes to ensure that the operational needs are met, considering price, quality, and on-time delivery, as well as continuity of supply. The role involves processing incoming customer requests, including workflow transactions, purchase requisitions, and email requests, ensuring agreed cycle time and quality standards while maintaining high customer / user satisfaction.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Process purchase requests by creating and releasing purchase orders to suppliers
Handle purchase orders, including tracking and expediting to ensure a cost-efficient supply of materials in accordance with demand
Ensure items are delivered on time and expedite where necessary
Communicate with suppliers concerning order-related items, such as delivery dates, and bring up risks to relevant collaborators
Monitor supplier delivery and quality performance, bring up findings to relevant collaborators, and address performance issues with suppliers as necessary
Maintain and update supplier master data to ensure the database is accurate and up-to-date
Negotiate prices and payment terms for low-threshold transactions
Demonstrate strong customer focus by handling requests in a timely manner with high-quality standards
Communicate efficiently and professionally with internal and external collaborators
Actively seek process optimization and improvement opportunities in relevant areas (e.g., MoQ optimization, bundling of purchase orders, etc.)
What You Bring
Proven background in procurement, engineering, and / or operations, manufacturing functions
A minimum of an apprenticeship degree in technical or other education
Digital Skills : Digitalization in daily work and the innovative approach to digitalize and automate processes
Functional Procurement Skills : Critical to bring value, complete, and deliver on strategy in value chain area
Proficiency in English
Intercultural approach and adapting to country-specific particularities
Availability to work from our Bucharest office 3 days per week, with 2 days remote
