Join our team as a Platform Cost Leader
Mission
- As the Platform Cost Leader, you'll be the go-to expert for documenting all cost items related to bids, ensuring Sales Managers can quote on time. You'll monitor performance during launches and collaborate closely with Sales Managers and Enterprise teams. Your role will focus on cost monitoring and bid preparation, without direct customer negotiations. You'll also define cost reduction and standardization roadmaps, driving cost-saving opportunities across all project phases.
What You’ll Do :
Cost Analysis : Develop comprehensive costing analysis to support business win targets for Enterprises and Customer teams.Documentation : Ensure any gaps are documented and escalated for timely alignment with bid milestones.Cost Reduction, Proposals and Impact Analysis : Drive cost-down roadmaps for the full BOM over a 3-year bid plan. Create detailed cost proposals for each bid, including NPO cost estimation and BOM validation.Standardization : Optimize BOM creation to align with standardization strategies.Cost Targets : Set BOM cost targets with the supply base and Should Cost team.Tooling Costs : Provide detailed tooling cost breakdowns and RDE budget estimations.Prototype Validation : Validate prototype BOM and tooling costs.Commercial Offers : Assist Sales Managers in preparing commercial offers, ensuring compliance with baseline management.Trend Analysis : Analyze trends and statistics to anticipate future cost gaps.Reporting : Complete metrics and dashboards to report cost performance and gaps.Project Handover : Ensure smooth handover of non-lead application projects to Customer Program Managers.Post-Launch Monitoring : Monitor bid cost evolution post-launch to ensure compliance with standardization targets.What We Need :
Experience : 3 - 5 years experience in product development in automotive industry and 2 years experience in managing projects with focus on cost and qualityEducation : Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering / MechanicalKnowledge : financial acumen and should cost analysisLanguage Skills : Advanced English proficiency (German, French or Italian could be a plus)Tools : MS Project or SAP PS (Project System)BENEFITS
