An experience Network and Security engineer is required for a globally recognised organisation in the energy and trading sector, known for its high-performance culture and cutting-edge technology environment. They are seeking a well-rounded Network & Infrastructure Security Specialist to join a small, collaborative IT Team and take ownership of the company's network and infrastructure estate, while also contributing to proactive security improvements.
The Role :
You'll be the technical lead for all things network and infrastructure -designing, implementing, and maintaining robust infrastructure to support a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. You'll also collaborate with support and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless operations and rapid incident response.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and implement strategic plans for network and security infrastructure
- Lead threat detection and response using tools like SIEM, Sophos MTR, and Splunk
- Manage Firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection
- Conduct annual penetration testing and remediate vulnerabilities
- Support disaster recovery planning and incident response
- Provide BAU support and mentor junior IT staff
