Sybase DBA Engineer

Job Description

A Sybase Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of a database. They are involved in the planning and development of the database, as well as troubleshooting any issues on behalf of the users. The DBA ensures that data remains consistent across the database, that it is clearly defined, that users access data concurrently, in a form that suits their needs, and that there is provision for data security and recovery control (all data is retrievable in an emergency).Experience and Requirements : SYBASE DBA with L2 and L3 skillsetExcellent knowledge of performance tuningVery good knowledge of database maintenance tasks like backup / restoreVery good knowledge of corresponding client software connectionsKnowledge / experience working with collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, Jira, ServiceNow, Agile skills)Automation : scripting, PowerShell, Puppet, Ansible, Jenkins, APIStrong proficiency in Sybase and database management toolsGood to have Experience with database design, implementation, and managementUnderstanding of data security and recovery processesFamiliarity with data warehousing concepts and toolsKnowledge of other database systems (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL)Good knowledge of English (written and spoken)Knowledge of French language (spoken and written) would be a plusWhy should you join Infosys Cloud, Infrastructure & IT Security practice?Infosys has a mature and rapidly growing Cloud, Infrastructure and IT Security (CIS) Practice Unit.
