SAP Retail VIM Expert

Job Description

Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced SAP Retail VIM Expert with 10-15 years of relevant experience in sourcing business and technology processes. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in information analysis and management, with a strong background in process management within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector. Experience with Agile methodologies and release management in complex, multi-vendor environments is essential. The role demands excellent communication skills and the ability to translate business requirements into actionable backlog items for agile teams. This position will involve analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data to develop business cases that drive results and enhance stakeholder effectiveness from a technology and data perspective.

Key Responsibilities :

Sourcing Business / Tech Processes :

Oversee and manage SAP Retail VIM (Vendor Invoice Management) processes to ensure alignment with sourcing and procurement strategies. Develop and implement best practices in VIM to optimize the procurement process and drive cost efficiency.

Information Analysis and Management :

Conduct thorough analysis of business requirements and translate them into detailed features and backlog items for agile development teams. Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to create comprehensive business cases that support decision-making and strategic initiatives.

Process Management in FMCG :

Apply in-depth knowledge of FMCG processes to streamline operations and enhance process efficiencies. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions that align with business objectives.

Agile and Release Management :

Lead and manage Agile methodologies within a complex, multi-vendor environment, ensuring successful delivery of projects and releases. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and monitor Agile sprints and releases, managing backlogs and ensuring timely delivery of features.

Communication and Stakeholder Management :

Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, providing clear and effective communication regarding project progress, challenges, and solutions. Prepare and deliver presentations to convey complex technical information and business cases to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Data-Driven Decision Making :

Utilize data analysis to drive business results and improve effectiveness across stakeholders. Develop actionable insights and recommendations based on data trends and business needs.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate) are a plus.
• 10-15 years of relevant experience in sourcing business and technology processes, with a proven track record in SAP Retail VIM.
• Extensive experience in FMCG process management and understanding of industry-specific challenges and solutions.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and release management in a multi-vendor environment.
• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable business insights.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
