Senior Accountant

Job Location : Hybrid, Bucharest

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. The role involves handling complex accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting both internal and external financial processes.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare, review, and submit monthly statements (D.100, D.300, D.390, D.394).
• Prepare, review, and submit monthly reports to various authorities (AFM, BNR, INS).

Post revenues by verifying and entering transactions.

Check and post deferred accruals (income and expenses).

Coordinate and assist in the monthly closing process to ensure deadlines are met.

Maintain accounting ledgers as required.

Engage with management regarding any issues encountered.

Audit ledgers to ensure accuracy.

Maintain relationships with state authorities.

Act as a key point of contact for bank operations.

Support both internal and external audits.

Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements :

University degree in Economics or related field.

Minimum 4 years experience in local and international accounting.

Strong computer skills, especially advanced Excel.

Experience working with specialized accounting software (SAP preferred).

CECCAR membership is a strong advantage.

Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).

Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.

Ability to organize and communicate ideas clearly.

Very good interpersonal, motivational, and leadership abilities.
