A Snapshot of Your Day
You will work within a team of engineers designing large HV substation to meet specific customer requirements.
You will be one of the key persons designing the main HV equipment’s and you will coordinate different disciplines to design an optimal and cost-efficient layout solution for the project, in compliance with the industry practice and customer requirements.
You will also be tasked with using engineering design tools to aid with project design.
How You’ll Make an Impact
To work with the team leader to deliver primary engineering design packages in line with the agreed delivery timescales and budget.
To prepare technical and requisition specifications, data sheets and inspection data sheets for primary HV equipment’s (transformers, circuit breakers, disconnector switches, CT&VT transformers, surge arrestors GIS switchgear etc.)
To perform calculation and analysis for sizing of equipment in compliance with applicable international standards and norms.
To perform Technical Bid Evaluations for primary HV equipment and providing recommendations in the final selection of equipment.
To check and monitor the supplier documentation and manufacturing and testing process.
To have or gain the ability to design, check and integrate primary layouts and component design with the aid of 2D / 3D modelling software.
Preparation of Earthing & Lightning Protection layout.
Responsible for co-ordination with the client, civil, other interfaces for delivering the layout design.
Participate in cost reduction and optimized design during project execution.
Monitoring of the engineering delivery progress for its own deliverables, including obtaining the needed input on time so timely delivery is guaranteed.
