Job description

We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our partner team and help bridge the gap between software engineering and data analytics. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing data infrastructure, with a strong focus on Databricks and cloud-based environments, while also supporting and improving existing applications. You will play a key part in delivering scalable, reliable, and innovative data solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, implement, and monitor end-to-end IT solutions for Advanced

Analytics and Data Replication (CDC) platforms.

Ensure high availability and performance of services within SLA targets, with a strong focus on Databricks and cloud-based environments.

  • Optimize and enhance IT services and systems, particularly around Databricks and AWS.

Implement and support Data Products within a Data Mesh architecture.

Maintain and improve existing applications, ensuring efficiency and reliability.

  • Collaborate with the Data team to transition data pipelines into optimized, production-ready workflows.
  • Administer and manage data environments, technology stacks, and traditional databases.
  • Apply automation and CI / CD practices using tools such as Git, Jenkins / GitHub Actions, Ansible, and Terraform.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, documenting best practices and configurations across the IT landscape.
  • Required Qualifications :

    Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a

    related technical field.

    Minimum of 3 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data DevOps, or a similar role (preferably in banking or telecommunications).

  • Strong expertise in at least two of the following technologies : Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Python, R, Databricks, Kafka, Debezium, GoldenGate.
  • Solid understanding of networking and microservices architectures (Kubernetes, EKS, or OpenShift).
  • Hands-on experience with Cloud and Big Data solutions, especially Databricks and AWS.
  • Proficiency with automation and CI / CD tools (Git, Jenkins / GitHub Actions, Ansible, Terraform, Shell / Python).
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Relevant professional certifications are a plus, particularly with practical experience in the listed technologies.
  • Preferred Qualifications

    Industry experience in banking or telecommunications.

    Proficiency in Linux system management and shell scripting.

    Knowledge of IT Service Management frameworks and software development methodologies.

  • Professional certifications in Data Engineering, Cloud or DevOps technologies.
