About the role :
The Pastry Chef will be responsible for leading and overseeing all pastry and dessert production across multiple properties in Sinaia. This role focuses on creating high-quality, innovative desserts and baked goods while maintaining consistency, efficiency, and adherence to company standards. The Pastry Chef will collaborate closely with the culinary team to develop seasonal offerings, ensure food safety compliance, and enhance the guest experience through exceptional pastry creations.

Tasks
Leadership & Team Collaboration :
- Manage and supervise the pastry team, ensuring smooth daily operations and fostering a positive work environment.
- Work alongside the Executive Chef to align pastry production with the overall culinary vision.
- Train and mentor junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff to uphold quality and consistency.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service and presentation.
Menu Development & Execution :
Design and execute innovative pastry and dessert menus that align with seasonal and company themes.Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation across all pastry offerings.Stay up to date with modern pastry trends and techniques, integrating them into the menu where appropriate.Develop and test new recipes while ensuring cost-effectiveness and minimizing waste.Quality, Hygiene & Safety :
Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards in compliance with HACCP and company policies.Conduct regular quality control checks on all pastry products to ensure excellence in taste and presentation.Ensure all ingredients and baked goods are stored properly to maintain freshness and prevent contamination.Implement best practices for kitchen cleanliness, workflow efficiency, and equipment maintenance.Sustainability & Cost Management :
Work with the procurement team to source high-quality, sustainable ingredients while managing costs effectively.Monitor inventory levels, minimize waste, and control portioning to optimize profitability.Identify opportunities to improve resource utilization and implement sustainable practices in pastry production.Customer Experience :
Ensure all pastries and desserts meet the company’s high standards for taste, texture, and presentation.Collaborate with front-of-house teams to gather guest feedback and refine pastry offerings accordingly.Contribute to special events, banquets, and customized dessert experiences for guests.Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end hotel, restaurant, or standalone bakery / pastry shop setting.Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, chocolate work, sugar artistry, and baking principles.Experience in menu development and the execution of large-scale pastry production.Familiarity with HACCP and other food safety regulations.Excellent leadership, time management, and organizational skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic kitchen environment.Personal Attributes
