Job Description Our client is a leading European group active in complex construction and infrastructure projects. With a strong presence across multiple countries and a solid reputation for financial performance and technical innovation, they are currently expanding their finance function in Romania.
Scope of the Role
- This position is part of the Balance Sheet Accounting Department within a multi-entity group structure. It is an individual contributor role, with no team coordination responsibilities.
- The ideal candidate is experienced in Romanian accounting and tax compliance, capable of working autonomously, and comfortable navigating both statutory and group internal reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Perform general ledger reconciliations and balance sheet verificationsPrepare statutory financial statements (balance sheet, P&L)Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual tax declarations (VAT, payroll taxes, corporate tax, etc.)Ensure compliance of accounting records and documentation across AP, AR, and Fixed AssetsReview and verify payroll-related contributions and accounting entriesPrepare and file corporate income tax reports and perform annual tax calculationsCompile semi-annual and annual financial reports according to local standardsSupport internal and external audits with full documentationPrepare transfer pricing documentation for intra-group transactionsIdeal Candidate Profile
