Cloud Engineer with Azure experience is sought by leading financial services organisation. This is a new role and will see you join the cloud based Infrastructure team to help drive and deliver the cloud strategy, ensuring the smooth operation and continuous evolution of the firm's Microsoft Azure capabilities across a hybrid global estate.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with experience in Microsoft cloud and hybrid environments, with strong engineering and troubleshooting skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
You'll be working closely with architects, product owners, and external vendors to design, test, and implement secure, scalable solutions that users globally.
Key Responsibilities :
Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Core Technology teams to build and evolve Azure-based servicesTechnically test and validate services and upgrades for secure production useLead implementation of approved changes through full development life cycleMaintain coherent cloud architecture with focus on governance, security, and documentationPlan and coordinate service maintenance (patching, DR tests, upgrades)Serve as 2nd line escalation point for support issues within the cloud domainLiaise with third-party vendors including Microsoft and cloud MSPs to resolve incidentsDocument processes, services, and operations in line with best practiceKeep up to date with industry trends to inform strategic planning and innovationKey Requirements :
Proven experience in delivering and managing multi-region Azure infrastructureStrong knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principlesFamiliarity with GitHub, GitLab, CI / CD, YAMLConfiguration / Policy / Documentation as Code proficiencyHands-on experience with Scripting (PowerShell, Python, SQL) and APIsExperience with Kubernetes clusters and microservicesStrong technical documentation and operational handover capabilitiesExperience working in Agile and distributed team environmentsYou'll be joining an organisation that values inclusion, diversity, and professional development, with a well-established reputation and a collaborative culture.
