Program Summary
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract ( LOGCAP ). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 10 countries.
Job Summary
As a Logistics Warehouseman (SSA) you will be responsible for the issue, receipt, turn-in, and shipment of parts and materials in support of customer activities. Additionally, you will assist with inventory management tasks and ensure compliance with contract performance standards.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Verify all items being received and / or shipped to and from the warehouse, dispense materials and prepare for shipment.
- Operate various Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to include handcart, pallet jack, hand truck and / or forklift to unload supplies and equipment.
- Store, stack & distribute palletized materials in preparation for storage or shipment.
- Process documentation for customer turn-ins of unserviceable, recoverable items, load, and unload commercial and / or military equipment for repairs.
- Verify material or merchandise against invoices, noting and reporting discrepancies and damages.
- Count supplies and equipment for accuracy, condition, and accountability.
- Operates up to 2½ – ton capacity vehicles, and two (2) to ten thousand (10,000) pound forklifts (as licensed / qualified).
- Perform Preventive Maintenance Checks (PMCs) on Material Handling Equipment (MHE), vehicles and other assigned equipment as needed.
- Comply with regulatory requirements, directives, technical manuals, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- File all paperwork per documented procedures and perform computer functions as directed or required.
- Work under stressful circumstances and meet short suspense dates.
- May be required to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a NACI. Due to this, you must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Green Card holder who has lived within the United States for at least the last 3 years to be eligible for this position.Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of experience in warehouse operations.Must have knowledge of Global Combat Support System–Army (GCSS-Army) processes.Requires completion of GCSS-Army Training and Certification.Requires English fluency.Must have a valid Driver’s License.Must be able to work under stressful circumstances and meet short deadlines.Requires the ability to perform duties while wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Must be able to lift / move up to 45 lbs. unassisted and up to 80 lbs. with assistance.Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
