Purchasing Data Management and Governance Specialist

Job Description

Data Landscape Management : Oversee the overall purchasing data landscape, ensuring data is accurately integrated and maintained across systems.

Data Architecture : Develop and maintain data architecture to support efficient data management and reporting.

Data Governance : Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices to ensure data quality and compliance.

Data Rules : Define and implement data rules and guidelines to maintain data integrity and consistency.

Data Quality Assurance : Conduct regular audits of data to identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring high data quality standards.

System Optimization : Work with IT and procurement teams to enhance the functionality and usability of data management systems.

Compliance : Ensure all data management activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.

Stakeholder Collaboration : Work closely with internal stakeholders, including IT, finance, and operations teams, to ensure alignment and support for data initiatives.

Training and Support : Provide training and support to internal users on data management best practices and system usage.

Data-Driven Culture : Promote and foster a data-driven culture within the organization by advocating for the use of data in decision-making processes.

Qualifications

Education : Bachelor’s degree in data science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.

Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data management, data governance, or a related role.

Technical Skills : Proficiency in data management systems, databases, and data governance tools. Strong SQL and Excel skills are a plus.

Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders.

Attention to Detail : Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Problem-Solving : Ability to identify and resolve issues related to data management and governance.

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience with specific data management and governance systems (, SAP BW, Oracle Data Warehouse).

Knowledge of industry-specific data management practices and standards.
