Okay, so, you're a Dev Lead now. Congrats!

This means you're basically the go-to person for the software engineers in your team. Your job is to help them grow, make sure they are committed to the team’s mission, goals and ways of working, and level up their skills.

Remember, you're not the Tech Lead, Scrum Master, or Project Manager. You're more like a coach.

What do you do?

Well, you manage people, build the team, sort out disagreements, mentor, fix problems, and even write code sometimes.

Day-to-day, you'll run meetings, check on how everyone's doing, provide regular feedback, keep an eye on everyone's progress, review code, and welcome new team members.

Don't just tell everyone what to do, especially when it comes to the design : collaboration is the key to success. And definitely don't be a boss – remember, you're a coach.

Follow the company rules, the coding standards, and the guidelines for meetings, goals, and code reviews. Keep things organized with checklists, templates, reviews, and plans.

Our tech stack includes PHP, Laravel, React, AWS.

Be prepared and open minded, over-communicate, stay humble, keep a relentless drive for continuous learning and improvement and embrace a growth mindset. Listen to your team, give them space to grow and use your time wisely. Trust your team, empower them, and let data guide your decisions.
