Safety & Compliance Manager

Client Description :

Adecco is hiring for this client, seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety and Compliance Manager to lead the airline's safety initiatives and ensure compliance with national and international aviation regulations. A primary focus will be successfully guiding the airline through the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) process. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of aviation safety standards, regulations, and best practices, along with the ability to cultivate a strong culture of safety and compliance within the organization.

Responsibilities :

• IOSA Preparation and Certification :

oLead the airline’s efforts to obtain and maintain the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification.

oDevelop and implement a comprehensive IOSA preparation plan, including gap analysis, corrective action plans, and coordination with internal departments.

oLiaise with IATA and relevant authorities to ensure all audit requirements are met.

oOversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Safety Management System (SMS).

oMonitor safety performance and ensure the effective reporting, investigation, and analysis of safety-related incidents and accidents.

oFacilitate safety risk assessments and ensure that risk mitigation measures are implemented effectively.

oEnsure compliance with national and international aviation regulations, including EASA, ICAO, and Romanian Civil Aviation Authority (RCAA) requirements.

oMonitor regulatory changes and advise senior management on necessary adjustments to company policies and procedures.

oConduct regular internal audits to verify compliance with regulatory and IOSA standards.

oDevelop, review, and update safety and compliance policies, procedures, and manuals in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

oEnsure that safety and compliance documentation is up-to-date and accessible to all relevant personnel.

oDevelop and oversee safety and compliance training programs for all relevant staff.

oPromote a culture of safety and compliance throughout the organization through awareness campaigns and regular communication.

oManage the airline's emergency response plan (ERP) and ensure preparedness for crisis situations.

oLead investigations into safety incidents, identify root causes, and oversee the implementation of corrective actions.

oServe as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities, auditors, and other external stakeholders concerning safety and compliance matters.

oCollaborate with internal departments to ensure alignment of safety and compliance objectives.
