JOB DESCRIPTION Your primary objective is to be successful in gaining + retaining customers by offering industry leading solutions. As a lead engineer you are a driving force in supporting the community with expertise and you are recognised subject matter expert in your area(s) of expertise. You will be working with internal + external stakeholders while focusing on the following key objectives :
- To take the lead in major customer tender proposals, driving compelling logistics concepts.
- To manage others in the development of successful customer solutions.
- To drive innovation, introducing + implementing new concepts + technology while building on existing best practices.
- To present solutions to the customer as key part of the tendering process.
- To be the business partner for your management team when addressing solution queries from customers, as well as challenging the status quo + customers in a constructive way where needed.
- To manage partnerships with key vendors to optimize costing + lead-times.
- To support the development of others in terms of skills + knowledge levels, assuring high standards of compliance.
Your Role
This role involves developing solution models, assisting in the preparation of proposal documents, and providing conceptual facility layouts. The manager will collaborate with specialized functional groups for solution design and demonstrate creative problem-solving abilities.

As a solution expert be a key partner to the customerAbility to lead customers through complex workshops identifying key challenge in the customer's supply chain and how they can be addressed with proposed solutionsDrive value proposition of the solution offering and formulate new innovative modelsLead other junior engineers during the tender processLead customer response from a customer solutions perspective and be the main contact for the customerLead complex implementations and optimization projectsMentor junior engineers to achieve their promotion goalsActively use and drive knowledge of changes / trends within the market that will impact logistics servicesReviews work of others to take accountability of delivered solutionsDefine best practices in the area(s) of expertiseFormulate future needs and requirements for the engineer team to continue to drive best-in-class solutions for the customerTrain other and trainers on engineering and market know-howLeadership Responsibility

Master Degree in Supply Chain or Engineering;Minimum 10 years of experience in Contract Logistics, is mandatory;Project Management experience is an advantage;Analytical skills and problem solvingExperience in Automotive will be preferred;Logistics and supply chain operational and solutions engineering management experience, is mandatory;Result-oriented person with strong ability to coordinate multiple projects at different stages;Fluent in English both written and spoken, is mandatory;Advanced level in MS Office pack tools usage, especially Excel, is mandatory.AutoCad
