As an Market Analyst you will own the sourcing pipeline for subcontractors / vendors supporting telecom / utility construction (OSP / fiber, wireless, power). You’ll identify, qualify, negotiate, and onboard vendors; align rate cards and capabilities to market demand; and maintain compliant, production-ready partners across regions.
Responsabilities :
Lead Validation & Pipeline Hygiene
- Revalidate existing vendor leads on a schedule (active, licensed, viable).
- Confirm interest with outreach and update statuses; escalate non-responsive or invalid entries for removal.
- Maintain clean main / child lists (company, contacts, licenses, COI, agreements) and focus areas.
Rates & Pricing Analytics
Build Area Rates by state / county using defensible inputs; maintain vendor rate guardrails and exception logic.Synthesize inputs : historical client rate cards (by code / UoM), awarded bids, paid invoices (GPM), current vendor quotes, peer-market comps, productivity norms (ft / day, crew mix), traffic control and material deltas.Flag risk / opportunity by market (over / under benchmark, variance to target, sensitivity).Reporting & Decision Support
Publish weekly dashboards : market heatmaps, coverage gaps, crew / drill availability, lead health, rate benchmarks.Partner with Sourcing to prioritize outreach; with Ops to forecast fill rates and mobilization readiness; with Finance on pricing impacts.Document assumptions and methodologies for transparency and repeatability.Requirements
Experience : 3–5+ years in market, operations, or pricing analysis (telecom, OSP, utilities, or construction preferred).Technical Proficiency : Strong Excel and Power BI skills; comfortable working with large and complex datasets.Tools Familiarity : Experience with SharePoint and Smartsheet; bonus points for exposure to GPM / HCSS environments and Power Automate.Communication : Excellent written communication skills; ability to craft concise executive summaries and maintain disciplined documentation.Benefits
