Business Analyst in Insurance

Your Tasks

Analyze business and regulatory requirements (e.g., Solvency II, IDD), assessing their impact on insurance systems like policy admin, claims, and underwriting.
Document business needs through BRDs, functional specs, user stories, and process models tailored to insurance workflows.
Translate insurance-specific needs—such as pricing, claims, and reporting—into IT requirements and support system design and integration.
Leverage AI and data mining to optimize decision-making in underwriting, fraud detection, claims triage, and customer service.
Support implementation of insurance platforms (e.g., core systems, CRMs) and cloud-based solutions, ensuring alignment with business and regulatory needs.
Conduct gap analyses to identify and improve inefficiencies in areas like policy issuance, renewals, and onboarding.
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT, ensuring alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Your Profile

Degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field

Experience in insurance projects and good understanding of industry processes (e.g., claims, underwriting, policy admin, regulatory compliance)

Strong skills in process analysis, requirement gathering, and stakeholder communication

Detail-oriented, well-organized, with the ability to work independently and in teams

High IT affinity and interest in insurance technologies and AI-driven solutions

Fluent in English; German would be a plus

Willingness to travel occasionally (approx. 5–6 times / year)
