Safety first! You will provide primary care services to the site and co-ordinate and manage the site health program, including safety inspections, ergonomics training and ergonomics assessments, to drive a reduction in work and non work related injuries. You will as well undertake management of testing programs required by local legislation

How you will contribute

You will :

• Be responsible for coordinating and overseeing implementation of all Health & Safety programs and processes.
• Participate in investigations to facilitate closure of identified non conformances.
• Provide Health & Safety expertise for the plant for all new projects and change management activities.
• Follow up on non conformances and develops the systems to resolve them based on root cause analysis.
• Understand relevant technical requirements in Health & Safety and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, and company policies.
• Ensure appropriate risk assessments are conducted and follow ups implemented to minimize or eliminate accidents, asset losses that might cause harm to one of the company’s employees, contractors, visitors.
• Review performance in Health & Safety and facilitates implementation corrective and preventative actions where required
• Ensures the facility standards are in compliance with both Company and governmental / community regulations
• Ensure training and coaching are taking place to drive a safety perfect culture and to ensure Health & Safety standards and awareness are well understood throughout the plant organization
• Provide technical and engineering support on machine safety needs of the plant. Handle implementation and compliance with industrial, equipment protection, machine guarding and other health and safety programs.
• Conduct workplace surveys, safety audits, safety assessment, accident investigations;
• Be responsible for control of contractors by providing trainings and inductions, collect documents and certificates for qualification, issuing PTW, conduct inspections at working place.
• Provide safety consultation and information to support all company safety efforts;
• Ensure the IL6S works are carried out efficiently in Plant
