The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the growth of the construction consultancy by identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and managing tender and proposal submissions and play a key role in enhancing the firm’s market presence, securing new contracts, and supporting long-term strategic goals.
The ideal candidate combines strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent communication skills in both Romanian and English
- Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients, partners, and projects in both public and private sectors.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging market opportunities.
- Identify and pursue new clients and projects to expand the company’s portfolio
- Continuous improvement in supervision processes and procedures.
- Identify and develop partnerships or joint ventures with local and international firms.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Provide active support to ongoing tenders, including document preparation, compliance reviews, and submission oversight.

Client Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term partnerships.Address client concerns promptly and effectively, ensuring satisfaction and trust.Identifying and pursuing new opportunities within the local market.Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure adherence to local regulations, company policies, and industry standards.Proactively identify and mitigate risks to ensure the smooth delivery of projects.Oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance across all branch activities.Ensure all non-conformances are addressed promptly.Track project milestones and deliverables through regular site visits and progress reports.Prepare and present comprehensive progress reports to senior management and clients.Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or a related field.Minimum 10 years of experience in business development or project management within the construction or engineering consulting industry, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.Strong understanding of construction project management processes, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.Proven ability to multitask and support parallel functions, including follow-up of ongoing operations and oversight of tender preparation.Client-focused : Excellent client relationship management and negotiation skills.Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.Proven track record in winning tenders and managing client relationshipsExceptional verbal and written communication abilities, including experience with presentations to senior leadership or clients.Familiarity with project management software, financial systems, and other relevant tools.Excellent knowledge of Romanian law in construction field#LI-GP1
