Project engineer for mechanical building services and cooling systems

Snapshot of Your Day :   You start a typical day in the office or home office by reviewing customer specifications regarding the cooling system for a newly tendered STATCOM project. You comment on the requirements where necessary and transfer them directly into your design documents for this project. Before lunch, you settle the required dimensions for the cooling system and its outdoor coolers from the requirements and pass the information on to the layout planner. In the afternoon, you conduct technical clarifications with potential suppliers based on a specification you have drawn up. Later, you receive a call from the site manager of another project with technical queries about the cooling system currently under construction there. Before closing time, you present an improvement to the system that you have identified to the customer and clarify the conditions and implications for the implementation schedule.

How You’ll Make an Impact :

You are responsible for the technical design, procurement and project management of technical building equipment (heating, air conditioning, ventilation) and cooling systems (pumps, motors, piping, fittings, recoolers, measurement and control technology) for energy transmission systems.

You take customer specifications and country-specific standards into account.

You determine the costs for the planning and implementation services for building services equipment and cooling systems

You create technical inquiry documents (specifications, performance and functional descriptions), being responsible for evaluating and assessing the submitted offers

You conduct technical negotiations with customers and suppliers, take part in contract award discussions and provide support with orders

You are responsible for coordination and interface clarification with other disciplines involved in the overall system and are responsible for the technical controlling of service provision by suppliers

You lead technical clarifications with the customer and conduct problem solving with suppliers

During installation and commissioning, you are the first point of contact for colleagues on the construction site and also provide on-site support yourself if necessary

What You Bring :

A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, mechatronics, environmental engineering (or similar)

Several years of professional experience in the planning and realisation of technical building equipment and / or cooling systems

Profound knowledge of project management

You have the necessary knowledge for selecting suitable hardware, creating technical documents and dealing with standards and guidelines

You enjoy working on the energy transition in a global project environment and are buisness fluent in English. You are also prepared to undertake the relevant international business trips.

Personally, you are characterized by teamwork, analysis, communication and learning skills as well as initiative, motivation, results orientation and enthusiasm.
