Electricity Market Analyst - Policy & Regulation

Job Responsibilities :

Conduct analysis of power markets and assess the impact of regulations on energy markets and offtake activities.

Provide regular reports on regulatory changes and power market trends.

Assist in the origination, negotiation, and finalization of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and other offtake agreements for company assets.

Manage internal and external Request for Proposals (RFPs) for the origination of power offtake agreements and PPAs across the company’s portfolio.

Support financial modeling for specific assets and the broader portfolio, particularly in relation to origination activities.

Provide support to asset management in the operational phase of power plants.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

Degree in business studies with a focus on energy management, trading, hedging management, or a related field.

Several years of experience in energy market analysis.

Strong understanding of energy markets, regulatory frameworks, and market trends.

Proven negotiation and communication skills.

Analytical mindset with strategic planning abilities.

Business fluent in English, additional languages are a plus.

Strong teamwork skills.

Excellent analysis, structuring, and accuracy skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Strong leadership and communication skills.
