We are looking for a Senior Access Specialist to implement, lead, and manage pricing and market access strategies for our oncology portfolio. This role is essential for enhancing our business results and ensuring that our oncologic products are accessible to patients in Romania.
Key Responsibilities :
Pricing Strategy Development : Develop and implement effective pricing strategies for oncologic products in the competitive Romanian pharmaceutical market. Conduct comprehensive pricing analyses and prepare recommendations for both marketed and new oncologic products, collaborating closely with marketing, medical, and business development teams.
Reimbursement Dossier Preparation : Develop and submit comprehensive reimbursement dossiers / documents to decision-makers. Coordinate the collection of necessary information from various departments (marketing, medical, business development, outcomes research, regulatory) for timely reimbursement submissions.
Market Access Projects : Identify threats and secure positive changes in the business environment for market access of R&D-based products. Develop and implement access projects for oncologic products, ensuring alignment with system availability and needs.
Stakeholder Engagement : Build and maintain professional relationships with health decision-makers to stimulate dialogue on access issues. Actively participate in reimbursement negotiations / discussions with the National Health Insurance House (NHIH) and other relevant bodies.
Monitoring and Reporting : Continuously monitor changes in the access system (public and private) and keep internal stakeholders informed. Provide feedback to local departments and headquarters as needed.
Budget Management : Manage the budget and allocation of resources for local market access projects.
Qualifications :
University degree in Business or Science.
3-5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in market access or pricing roles.
Proven experience in business negotiations and group presentations.
Strong ability to effectively express complex problems to key decision-makers using various tools, including pharmaco-economic arguments.
Developed sense for establishing and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers.
Ability to work effectively in a complex and competitive environment.
Good understanding of the Romanian healthcare system, including legislative framework, health system management, and financing mechanisms.
Knowledge of HTA (Health Technology Assessment) and cost-volume contracting frameworks.
Advanced communication skills in both Romanian and English.
