What your day will look like

Mission The Financial Accountant (m / f / d) is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial data within the general ledger. This role involves preparing and reviewing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with the month-end and year-end closing processes. The position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and excellent organizational skills. General Ledger Maintenance :

• Record and reconcile all transactions in the company’s General Ledger, ensuring that all financial data is accurate and up-to-date for month and year end close
• Ensure proper accounting of assets, liabilities, equity, revenue, and expenses in compliance with internal accounting policies and external regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll etc) to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and data flow.
• Prepare and review journal entries (accruals, prepayments, foreign exchange, payroll) to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Conduct account analysis to ensure that entries and balances are correct and provide explanations for discrepancies between actual and budgeted financial results.
• Support with the set up and integration of previously out-sourced entities into the ERP system
• Perform account reconciliations of assigned accounts and ensure that discrepancies are identified and resolved in a timely manner
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts particularly with regard to overheads
• Manage the tracking, recording, and reporting of tangible and intangible fixed assets and ensure proper depreciation schedules.
• Prepare tax filings and associated payments including VAT, corporation tax, and other relevant tax reports.
