Utilities One (U1) is looking for an experienced VP of Finance.
We offer a full suite of services to support infrastructure projects and solutions for Telecommunication Providers, Electric Utilities, Wireless Providers, Telecom Engineering, and Fulfillment Services (LECs / MSOs) in the United States.
This critical senior leadership role will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and be responsible for all financial aspects of our business and will manage the company’s financial strategy and planning. You will also assess the company's financial performance as well as possible risks.
A successful candidate should be a reliable professional with broad knowledge of all accounting, financial and business principles. You should also be a strategic thinker and effective leader who can make most profitable decisions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Analyze company performance and financial risks to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Oversee and manage the company’s financial systems and ensure their efficiency and integrity.
- Provide guidance on the financial impact of long-term planning, new initiatives, and regulatory changes.
- Monitor the company’s financial health and implement proactive measures to mitigate potential risks.
- Develop, implement, and enforce financial policies and procedures to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Supervise accounting and finance teams, delegate tasks, and ensure timely completion of responsibilities.
- Lead audit processes and internal control operations to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and present accurate financial forecasts and performance reports to company leadership.
- Produce detailed quarterly and annual financial reports.
- Ensure full compliance with financial regulations, laws, and internal policies.
- Perform other related duties as required to support the financial and strategic objectives of the company.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Director of Finance or similar senior-level financial roleProven expertise in corporate finance and deep understanding of accounting principlesStrong background in financial analysis , forecasting , and strategic financial planningSolid knowledge of financial regulations and best practices ; experience with US GAAP is a strong plusProficiency in Microsoft Office and financial management softwareExcellent analytical , strategic thinking , organizational , and leadership skillsStrong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative approachBachelor’s degree (BSc / BA) in Accounting , Finance , or a related fieldA Master’s degree (MSc / MA) and / or CPA or other relevant certification is considered an assetWork schedule : Monday - Friday from 15 : 00 till 23 : 00
