R&D Electrical Test Engineer

We are currently seeking to grow our engineering team dedicated to developing our next generation products in our Research and Development (R&D) department located in Sibiu.

With our products at the forefront of technological advancement in the rapidly evolving field of electrification, you have the opportunity to propel your career to new heights.

This role is ideally suited for someone who has experience in developing products and has a thorough understanding about the electrical fundamentals. The successful applicant will be joining a newly created team with plenty of opportunity to learn new things and develop in his career.

In Sibiu, the activity will take place at SIMEA, for the Smart Infrastructure, Electrical Products team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop devices and systems for electrical power distribution.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and testing processes in the laboratory.
  • Implement and support UL and IEC approval processes.
  • Conduct and support type tests.
  • Improve and develop measurement technology, data acquisition, and processing methods in the laboratory.
  • Provide manufacturing support, particularly in addressing quality issues.
  • Collaborate with team members and engage in challenging new tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable degree in electrical engineering.
  • Qualified electrician for laboratory activity.
  • Technical experience in the field of electrical protection devices.
  • Knowledge of the relevant national and international standards (e.g., IEC 60898-1, 60898-2, UL489, UL1077.
  • Practiced handling of measuring equipment for low-voltage switchgear and control gear.
  • Test field experience.
  • Meeting challenges and creativity in problem solving.
  • Cooperation and teamwork skills.
  • Analysis capability.
  • Intercultural experience / sensitivity
  • Language : English
