Job Title: General Ledger Accountant Job Location: Bucharest, Romania Main Responsibilities: Design and implement accounting processes and solutions based on local compliance requirements and business operations. Perform regular accounting, reporting, and analysis aligned with local standards and tax regulations. Manage the accounting and analysis of VAT, WHT, and CIT processes. Ensure accurate accounting treatment and reporting in line with IFRS and local GAAP for European subsidiaries. Conduct routine month-end closing , reconciliations, and external compliance analysis. Support internal and external audits of financial statements. Prepare financial reports and deliver value-added analysis to stakeholders. Work within a highly automated accounting environment and contribute to further process improvements. Communicate effectively with internal teams, finance partners, and external auditors. Promote best practices and provide guidance on accounting standards and compliance requirements across various business scenarios. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management, or a related field. 2–3 years of experience in accounting, audit, or revenue; prior experience as a General Ledger Accountant is an advantage. Strong understanding of accounting standards, tax processes, and compliance requirements. Experience working with highly automated accounting systems; low manual-work environments is a plus. Strong communication and coordination skills; ability to interact across diverse business scenarios. Good English reading and writing skills.
