WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Take ownership of frontend development within amicro-frontend architectureinside the project.

• Design implement and maintainscalable modular and accessible UI components.

• Collaborate closely with backend engineers usingAPI-first and BFF patterns.

• Contribute to thetransition phase including knowledge transfer from the external supplier and stabilization of existing systems.

• Drivemodernization initiatives especially around outdated frontend technologies (the current ExtJS-based application) and performance bottlenecks.

• Ensurehigh code qualitythrough TDD code reviews and automated testing.

• Optimize applications forperformance accessibility (a11y) SEO and sustainability.

• Actively contribute toarchitectural decisionswith a frontend perspective.

• Support CI/CD pipelines and containerized frontend deployments (Docker).

• Work in cross-functional self-organized agile product teams and collaborate with stakeholders.

WHAT YOU BRING ALONG

ExtJS Expertise

• Deep hands-on proficiency inExtJS

• Experience with ExtJScustomization and framework overrides

• Solid understanding ofExtJS architecture (MVC / MVVM patterns)

• Skilled in handling large volumes of data:data structures models stores grids and virtualization

• Familiarity withExtJS tooling build processes and licensing

• Strongperformance and enterprise-application mindset

Core Architecture & Engineering

• Understanding ofDomain-Driven Design (DDD)concepts and bounded contexts

• Experience withmicroservices and micro-frontend architectures

• API-first mindset; experience withAPI GatewayandBackend-for-Frontend (BFF)patterns

• Knowledge of commonsoftware design patterns

• Familiarity withresiliency patterns(retry fallback rate limiting)

• Ability to design forscalability fault tolerance and observability

Frontend Development

• Strong proficiency inJavaScript and/or TypeScript

• Experience with at least one modern frontend framework (React Angular Svelte) a plus given the roadmap to modernize away from ExtJS

• Development ofmodular scalable responsive UI components

• Experience with modern frontend build tools and workflows

• Focus onaccessibility (a11y) performance optimization and SEO

• Knowledge oflazy loading code splitting and frontend performance techniques

• Strong understanding ofUI/UX principles

Quality & Security

• Advanced knowledge ofGitand version control workflows

• Experience withTest-Driven Development (TDD)and automated UI testing

• Awareness ofsecure coding practicesand common web security risks

DevOps & Delivery

• Experience building and maintainingCI/CD pipelines(GitHub GitLab Jenkins or similar)

• Working knowledge ofDockerfor frontend deployment and environment decoupling
