Job Description Charge Nurse (Cath Lab)

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Charge Nurse Cath Lab to oversee nursing operations

within the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing

specialized nursing care to cardiac patients supporting interventional procedures coordinating the

nursing team and ensuring safe efficient and high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate daily nursing activities within the Cath Lab department. Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and related procedures. Prepare patients before procedures and monitor patients during and after interventions. Assist cardiologists and medical teams during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures. Monitor vital signs patient condition and respond promptly to any clinical changes or

emergencies. Ensure proper patient identification safety checks and adherence to clinical protocols. Manage patient recovery and post-procedure care including monitoring for complications. Maintain accurate nursing documentation and patient records. Ensure compliance with infection control patient safety and hospital quality standards. Guide support and mentor nursing staff within the department. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth patient flow and effective care delivery.

Requirements: Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution. Valid nursing license/registration. Minimum relevant experience in Cath Lab cardiac care or critical care nursing. Strong knowledge of cardiac procedures patient monitoring and emergency response. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. Willingness to work shifts as required.

Preferred Skills & Experience: Previous Charge Nurse or team leadership experience. Experience assisting in interventional cardiology procedures. Strong knowledge of cardiac patient care and post-procedure management. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of patient care
