Job Role

The Tester is responsible for executing Business Acceptance Testing activities to validate that business and system changes meet defined requirements and support expected business processes. The role works closely with Subject Matter Experts, business stakeholders, and project teams to ensure high-quality testing coverage and accurate validation of business functionality.
The Tester plays a key role in identifying defects, documenting testing outcomes, and contributing to successful business acceptance and operational readiness.

What will you do

• Execute test scenarios and test cases in accordance with the agreed testing approach.
• Validate business requirements through functional, end-to-end, and non-regression testing activities.
• Document test execution results and provide clear evidence of testing outcomes.
• Identify, document, and report defects, ensuring all relevant information is accurately captured.
• Retest resolved defects and verify successful resolution.
• Ensure test execution aligns with defined business processes and expected user journeys.
• Support test data preparation and test environment validation activities.
• Collaborate with SMEs and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and expected results.
• Participate in defect triage sessions and provide testing feedback.
• Escalate testing risks, issues, and blockers in a timely manner.
• Contribute to test status reporting and progress tracking.
• Adhere to established testing standards, processes, and quality guidelines.

What you bring

• Experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Business Acceptance Testing (BAT), Quality Assurance, or related testing activities.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
• Experience executing functional and end-to-end testing scenarios.
• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into effective test execution.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Experience documenting test results and managing defects.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken.

You have

• Experience within the insurance industry.
• Familiarity with defect management and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.
• Understanding of business processes and operational workflows.
• ISTQB Foundation certification or equivalent testing qualification.
