Having conquered our home market and become the leading supplier in our product category, we are scaling delivery to match our commercial growth. As more contracts are signed across new markets, we're looking for a rigorous, technically-grounded Project Manager to run execution end-to-end — from contract signature to client acceptance — to the same high standard on every project.

Role Overview

The Project Manager owns execution of smart street-lighting projects from the moment a contract is signed until client acceptance and closeout. This is a highly cross-functional, process-driven role: you'll coordinate procurement, factory production, logistics and customs, implementation partners on the ground, field verification, client (CPC) training, documentation and payments — while keeping the project on schedule, on budget and fully compliant.

You are the single point of accountability across Procurement, Factory, Logistics, the Implementation partner, CPC and the client. You raise issues early, protect the schedule and the margin, and make sure nothing is signed off until it's successfully done — verified in the field, not just reported as done.

Key Responsibilities

• Run the structured handover from Sales/Bid, validate the contract, BOQ, technical specification and milestones, and formally accept the project within SLA.

• Build and baseline the project charter, WBS, schedule/Gantt, budget and RACI at kickoff.

• Validate that Procurement has ordered the full bill of materials on spec, on budget and on time, with certifications and Incoterms confirmed.

• Track factory production against schedule and specification, including first-article approval, in-process QC and factory acceptance testing.

• Own logistics, customs clearance, duties, warehousing, insurance and delivery coordination — pre-clearing and pre-paying to avoid delays at the border.

• Select, onboard and supervise the implementation partner: contracts, RAMS/HSE, scheduling by zone, daily progress tracking and quality control on site.

• Verify installation is real and complete through the Metrics and ToolKit apps, reconciled against the BOQ — not just reported as finished.

• Coordinate CPC training planning and delivery, and confirm client competence before requesting acceptance.

• Maintain the document register, manage change orders/variations, and keep invoicing, payments and retentions on schedule.

• Run formal client acceptance and closeout: snag resolution, as-builts, warranties, final invoicing and lessons learned.

• Maintain a live risk and issue register; escalate early rather than reactively.

• Produce forecasts, budget-vs-actual and schedule-variance reporting on a weekly cadence, using Jira and other project-tracking tools.

• Read and work from technical drawings and site plans in AutoCAD as needed.

• Where projects are (co-)financed through EU funds, manage the associated reporting, eligibility and compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Energy Engineering - technical grounding in electrical systems is essential.

• ANRE authorisation strongly preferred; certification as RTE or Site Engineer (Diriginte de Santier) is a strong plus.

• Proven experience coordinating implementation projects end-to-end — not only execution — including the administrative/bureaucratic workstream, software-based coordination, and the contractual/legal side.

• Experience managing projects (co-)financed by EU funds; background as a consultant on EU-funded projects with an engineering foundation is a strong plus.

• Hands-on experience with Jira (or equivalent PM/tracking tool) and AutoCAD.

• Comfortable owning budget forecasting, cost control and reporting against baseline.

• Working knowledge of contracts, permits, customs/logistics processes and public-sector documentation requirements.

• Based in, or willing to be based in, Moldova region or Southern Romania, with availability for site travel.

• Fluent Romanian and working proficiency in English.

Ideal Candidate

• Structured and detail-oriented — comfortable owning a checklist-driven process across six execution phases and multiple stakeholders.

• A natural coordinator who keeps Procurement, Factory, Logistics, Implementation partners, CPC and the client moving in sync.

• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, in different development phases.

• Proactive on risk — flags issues before they become deadline threats, rather than reacting to them.

• Comfortable with the bureaucratic core of the role: permits, customs paperwork, contractual milestones, EU-fund compliance and documentation.

• Confident using software daily (Jira, AutoCAD, Excel) to plan, track and report.

Support You'll Have

You won't be running projects alone: Procurement, Factory, Logistics, the Implementation partner network and the CPC training team are all dedicated functions you coordinate with, not workstreams you carry alone. The PMO sets SLAs, tracks milestone slippage, and provides an escalation path (PM → PMO Lead → Head of Delivery → Executive Sponsor) so problems get resourced quickly rather than sitting with one person.

You'll also have the Metrics and ToolKit apps as your source of truth for field verification, and a companion Excel tracker that turns the execution checklist into owners, due dates and phase-gate status.
